I have had a very hard work day today, and I am really tired. I must rest once I get home. If only I didn't have to climb to the top of this hill. I smell something funny. I wonder what it is. It sort of smells like smoke. Wait, there's smoke coming out of the top of the hill. This can't be happening.! Oh my goodness! My village is on fire, my family is nowhere to be found, what should I do?! There's sails moving across the ocean fleeing, maybe my family is on one of those. I have to flee, there is no way I will ever find my family here on the top of the hill burning away. I think it is best I shall sail out tomorrow in the morning, but for now I will go back to the bottom of the hill and be secure that my family isn't here.
     It is morning and I haven't found any of my family for did no one survive the fire. I have acme upon on one of the boats that belongs to one of my friends. Who was Charlemagne? He was a person from the Early Middle Ages. He was also know by Charles the Great, because that is what his name meant. Charlemagne was able to get much of the land. He had been ruling western Europe for about some time and by the 800's he was able to rule much of the land he had conquered while he was the king.
    Charlemagne always fought for the best and always got what he wanted. He conquered France, and had made a new He was Charles the Great for in his name said it all, the people would say he was the best ruler that anyone could ever have. They wished he could have continued ruling. 

My New Year's Resolution was to try harder in school and try to turn in everything in on time. The last two quarters I wasn't doing so well of trying my best and turning everything in on time. But, this year it will all change, I will try my hardest and I will try to turn in everything in on time. I also have one more thing, I will also try to make sure that everything I turn in will have my effort and I would have tried my hardest on it.
